Studio Hamburg Design Works were responsible for studio construction for the BBC at the World Cup (2014) in Rio de Janeiro.
Working in collaboration with the set designer Jens Weber, who provided the design for the project, the building was simulated in Studio A1. Following the approval of the visiting British Delegation, the completed set was then shipped to Rio in two Containers. Six Studio Hamburg Workshops craftsmen assembled and furnished the 9mx 12m Studio set in a temporarily built Studio on Location at the world famous Copa Cabana. On the 12th June 2014, the completed set was used for the first time.
