To mark its 20th anniversary, the Laureus World Sports Awards were held in Berlin for the second time. Following the 2016 ceremony at the Berlin Exhibition Centre, the 2020 event took place at the new Verti Music Hall.
This gala honours athletes from around the world for their outstanding achievements and was broadcast online and on television to viewers worldwide.
In collaboration with the London-based production company Done & Dusted and architect Florian Wieder, Studio Hamburg Design Works was primarily responsible for the set design in the gala and TV areas.
