As a contribution to the outdoor advertising, a metre-high lettering was made and erected on the roof of the marquee. This is equipped with illuminants and determines the appearance of the building across the Rhine and the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge.<\/p>\n
The simple auditorium of the functional building was transformed into a baroque theatre by the addition of balconies, elaborately ornamented balustrade sections, cornices, columns and wall panelling. The ceilings, balcony undersides and walls were decorated with high-quality fabrics, fringes, tassels and a multitude of fairy lights.<\/p>\n
